29, 2022. He died peacefully in his sleep at his home in La Feria,Texas.
Francisco was born October 27, 1933 in Mercedes,Texas. He is preceded in death by his
parents Pablo Martinez and Estanislada Hernandez Martinez.
He is survived by his wife Enma Martinez, his three daughters Graciela (Daniel, Jr.) Sarmiento,
Elida Martinez, Flo Martinez, his stepsons: Ruben (Lorena) Gonzalez, Jaime Gonzalez and
Carlos (Vanessa) Gonzalez. He was a beloved grandfather to his step grandchildren: Emma
Prissila Gonzalez Tintí, Eliasar Gonzalez Tintí, JR Gonzalez, Emmary Gonzalez and Victoria
Gonzalez. He leaves behind his sister Sabina Gonzales, his brother Julian Martínez and
numerous nephews and nieces.
Francisco proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1955-1958. He was
stationed in the Philippines and worked as an aircraft engine mechanic. After his service
in the United States Navy, he worked for the B.D. Holt Company until his retirement in
1999. He was employed as a mechanic and painter of Caterpillar tractors.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was proud and honored to be the
patriarch of his family. His presence will truly be missed by his family and by all those that
knew him and loved him.
Special thanks to the staff of Kindred Hospice Service and the VA Clinic in Harlingen,Texas;
as well as all the physicians involved in his medical care especially Dr. Indal Seudeal, MD.
The family would like to especially express their sincere gratitude for the loving care and
compassion he received from his hospice nurses: Registered Nurses Deremy and Reynaldo
and his nursing assistant Pete.
Memorial services will be under the care of Heavenly Grace Funeral Home in La Feria, Texas.
