Eduardo Garcia Torres

Mr. Torres was an active member of Los Vecinos Baptist Church. He retired from Primera meat market having worked there for 64 years.

Mr. Torres was also an avid L.A. Dodgers fan and also enjoyed his visits to his hometown in San Roman, Mexico. His greatest joy was spending time with family.

Eduardo is survived by his spouse, Josefina Torres; his son Olimpo Torres (Alice); his son Eduardo Torres; his son Prisciliano Torres; his son Jose Torres (Cynthia); his daughter Gabriela Borquez (Rene); his daughter Yolanda Cruz (Geronimo); his daughter Lillian Quintanilla (+Robert); his daughter Leticia Fernandez (Rene); and his daughter Alicia De Leon (Juan). Sisters: Sofia Torres, Altagracia Torres, Lidia Torres, Hortencia Quinones Acacia and Petra Magana Buenrostro.

Eduardo was preceded in death by his son-in-law Robert Quintanilla; his father Prisciliano Torres and his mother Gabriela Garcia; his brothers Jose Torres and Julio Torres; sisters, Josefina Roque and Santiaga Torres.

Eduardo also leaves behind 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Eduardo will be held Friday, July 28, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559. A funeral service will occur Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a burial at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park.
