On Friday, February 23, 2024 our dearest mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister was carried gently into Jesus’ arms: her last and heavenly home. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Ana Maria Zepeda (79) was born June 18, 1944 in Harlingen, Texas.
Mother was a spiritual woman with an unwavering faith in God and his grace. She is often described as a beautiful person inside and out, a woman who truly loved everyone and only saw the good in people. She was kind, thoughtful, and a woman of God who loved and cared deeply for her family. As a young girl she became the caregiver for her mother, father and brothers for many years. As a young woman, she cared for her own family of six children and continued to care for her mother. Through the years she enjoyed welcoming fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The joy and love for her grandchildren was evident in her face and her heart. Mother continued to care for people as a CNA at Retama Manor Nursing Home for years. She was delighted with her life and the freedom in doing the things that brought her joy. She loved roses and plants and working in her yard. Most recently, she enjoyed attending La Familia Day Care Center where she was very much loved and adored by all. She played bingo, and participated in a variety of events and activities. Crafting was a passion of hers, and she really loved the peace and calm in coloring. She had an eye for color coordinating and selecting amazing color combinations. She meticulously studied a print and carefully chose just the right colors to use. As an avid football fan, she was able to see her team the Chiefs win another superbowl. She loved her football! Our mom had an endearing heart with enough love to share with everyone. She will be missed and never forgotten by those she touched. We love you forever mama!
Ana is survived by her children, Braulia Carrillo (Roberto), Patricia De La Garza Zepeda, Leticia Zepeda Zamora, Jose Manuel Zepeda and Deborah Villarreal (Hector), her brother, Daniel Camacho (Maria) and her grandchildren, Dorian Zamora, Dillon Zamora (Alexa), Kathryn Zepeda, Rebecca Carrillo, Kristopher Zepeda, Michaela De La Garza, Haley Zepeda, Reyes Zepeda, Pv2 Nicolas De La Garza, Fabian Villarreal, Daniel Villarreal, Josie Zepeda, Olivia Villarreal, Isla Villarreal, Mila Villarreal and great grandchildren, Mia Zamora, Andy Zamora.
