Tyrone Lee Chapman

Tyrone Lee Chapman, age 57, of Kokomo, Indiana went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. He was born to Darryl E. and Linda (Fox) Chapman on April 22, 1965 in Akron, OH. He graduated from Kokomo High School in 1983, and attended Indiana University, Bloomington for awhile. He went on to work at Michelman Inc. as a chemist and lead trainer for 29 years. He enjoyed playing football, basketball, and fishing. His favorite football team was the Indianapolis Colts. He enjoyed horse racing and visiting casinos. He loved visiting Myrtle Beach with his family. He loved his children, grandchildren and his Mom. He will be remembered for his mellow nature and his bright smile. Tyrone was preceded in death by his father; grandmothers, Elizabeth Chapman and Geneva Fox; grandfathers, Howard Chapman and Rosslee Fox; and uncle, Ross D. Fox. He is survived by his mother, Linda; brother, Darryl, Jr. (Rosanna) Chapman; children, Tyleshia Turner, Francesca Springer, Destiny McClain, and Tyrone D. McClain-Chapman, Jr.; grandchildren, Tyrell, Mem'arie, Elijah Halil, and two on the way; nieces, Monica Levine and Alicia Chapman, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends. Visitation will be Saturday, January 14, from 11am- 1pm, at Ellers Mortuary and Cremation Center, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo. Funeral Service will begin at 1pm.
