Robert Eugene Duke

Robert Eugene Duke Sr., 80, passed away at 12:32 am on Saturday November 18, 2017 at Chase Center, Logansport, Indiana. Robert was born October 22, 1937 to Robert L. and Irma C. (Arrick) Duke. He married his wife Jeannie (Brown) January 7, 1962 at First Christian Church in Marion, Indiana. She survives him. Robert was a 1955 graduate of Marion High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1964. Robert retired from Chrysler Transmission in 1999 after 34 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Greentown, No. 341. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and karate. Robert umpired youth baseball in Howard County for years. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and sister in law Sharon (Southgate). Bob is also survived by sons Robert (Teri) Duke Jr. and Micheal (Lisa) Duke; brother Richard B. Duke; grandchildren Rachel (Jeff) Seagrave, Silas Stiner, Danielle (Evan) Eikenberry, Robert Lewis Duke II, Joshua (fiancé Jacqueline) Richard, Brynna Richard, Delaney Duke, Zachary Duke, and 7 great-grandchildren. A Memorial will be held November 29, 2017 at Chapel Hill Christian Church, 2600 W. Alto Rd. Visition will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with a short service at 5:30 pm with Pastor Steve Allen officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a contribution to CASA of Howard County in Robert’s honor.
