Norma Jean Russell

Norma Jean Russell, 93, Apex, North Carolina passed away at 10:28 AM on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Transitions Life Care. She was born on December 6, 1929 in Kokomo, Indiana the daughter of the late Paris and Josephine (Thomison) Johnson. On September 27, 1947 she married William John Russell.

She attended Kokomo High School. After high school she went to work at Delco Radio where she worked for 37 years. She retired in 1985 and after her retirement she moved to Apex, North Carolina. She enjoyed playing golf, working jig-saw puzzles, crocheting, and traveling.

She is survived by her children, Janice (Eugene) Creed, William (Lennie) Russell, Karen (Dave) Williams, David (Kapyne) Russell, Barbara (James) Poole; grandchildren, Alisha Richardson, Aimee (Jeff) Garrison, Christopher Russell, Amanda Williams, Robert (Heather) Russell, William Russell, Megan Warwick, Teresa (Mike) Miller, Amanda (Matt) Weaver, Jacob (Alisha) Robertson , Michelle (Roy) Barnes, Brandon Barnes, Cara Barnes Zack (Ruby) Cohee; Brother, William Johnson; sisters, Bette Pierson, Linda (Bud) Sweatt and lots of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; daughter, Brenda Warwick; grandson, Andrew Williams; great grandson, Andrew Long; brothers, Wayne Johnson, Don Johnson; sisters, Thelma and Sandy.

Visitation will take place at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo, Indiana on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 12:00 pm until the start of funeral services at 1:00 pm.
