Matthew James Adams of Kokomo was born on October 10, 1992 in Kokomo to Tonya Wright and Gary Adams. He passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2024, at the age of 31. He was a beloved father, husband, son, brother, and friend.
Matt wore his heart on his sleeve and was loved by everyone who encountered him. He brought joy to everyone around him. He had a strong and unwavering passion for baseball, attending concerts, and held a deep love for music overall. As a lifelong member of UAW Local 1166, he strived to achieve an incredible life for his loved ones.
He is survived by his beautiful children – Kaydence (14), Knox (9), Baylor (3), Axel (2), and one on the way, his beloved spouse, Kayla Salinas, two loving parents, Gary Adams and Tonya Wright, sister – Courtney Green (Kristian), brothers – Gary Adams Jr. (Ashley) and Nathan Adams, Niece – Sylvie, Nephews – Cruz, Miles, Nolan, and Conner, and three surviving grandparents, Mary Adams, Faye Johnston (Mike), and Dick Wilkes. He is preceded in death by Grandpa Jon Adams, Papaw Larry, and Mamaw Terry Wright, and many great grandparents and other family members.
The warmth of Matt’s soul, laughter, and love will be deeply missed by all of those that had the privilege of knowing him. The very first thing people would think of when they remember Matt is his humor and ability to make everyone laugh as you would find laughter everywhere you went with him. He had a very deep love for the Cincinnati Reds and Notre Dame football.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 4-8 pm and a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 11 am at Eller’s Mortuary at 3400 South Webster Street in Kokomo.
