David L. DeBolt, 76, of Fairfield Glade passed away on October 29, 2018 at the Cumberland House Hospice in Crossville, TN from leukemia/MDS syndrome. David was born on May 27, 1942 in Anderson, IN. He was a 1960 graduate of Anderson High School. In 1995, David retired from General Motors after almost 40 years of service in skilled trades and Plant Maintenance supervision.
David is survived by his wife of 35 years, Bess DeBolt; sons: Gary (wife Lorri) DeBolt, Greg (wife Sonja) DeBolt, Scott DeHart, Mike (wife Angie) DeHart and Jonathon (wife Kelli) DeHart; grandchildren: Lyndsie, Sara, Dylan, Emaliegh, Spence, Dakota, Cheyenne and Brook; great grandchildren, Madisyn, Chloe, Gabriel and Marleigh; cousin, Barbara (husband Bill) Glaze; close family friends: Fred and Diane Haney, Tom and Butch Tuttle, Dave and Sally Kowalski, Fred and Joan Dunn, Joan Bonisa. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Summers; grandmother, Tillie Flynn; aunts, Nancy Meek and Margaret Skouden; cousin, Char-Ann Herron.
He was an avid golfer, and moved to Fairfield Glade, TN in 1996 so he could enjoy, “Another beautiful day on the mountain.” During his time at Fairfield Glade, David and Bess enjoyed their time golfing, and spending time with their many friends. David was also a lifelong member of the Elks Lodge of Crossville, TN.
A celebration of David’s life will take place on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Fairfield Glade Community and Conference Center, 128 Stonehenge Dr. Crossville, TN 38558, at 5:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, www.donate.lls.org or Cumberland House Hospice, 140 Kates Korner Crossville, TN 38555.
David’s family would like to thank the Third Floor Infusion Team at Cumberland Medical Center, and the staff from Dr. Dirk Davidson’s office for the outstanding care and concern they have shown David and his family.
