Danny "Earl" Johnson

Danny "Earl" Johnson, age 71, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024. "Earl the Pearl" was born in Kokomo, Indiana, to Clarence and Lottie (Harris) Johnson on January 27, 1953. He graduated from Haworth High School in 1971, before going on to work for Delphi, from which, he retired. He enjoyed playing softball and basketball. He was a talented pool, snooker and card player. He was also an avid sports fan, but IU's cream and crimson was his favorite. He is survived by his sister, Deborah Gardiner; brother-in-law, Bob Rose; sister-in-law, Sherry Hudson; brother-in-law, Glen Hudson; step-daughter, Kelly Hudson; 4 step-grandchildren; and 17 nieces and nephews. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lottie; his wife, Penny Jo Johnson; 3 brothers; and 5 sisters. A celebration of life for Earl will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Crematory Center, 3400 S. Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902, with a funeral service beginning at 6:30 PM.
