William Ernest Moore

MOORE, WILLIAM ERNEST – age 72 of Knoxville passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center after a long illness. Ernie was in the U.S. Army for 22 years as a Staff Sergeant serving in the Vietnam War where he received a purple heart and bronze star. Preceded in death by parents William Asbury and Georgia Moore of Knoxville, sisters Wanda Corbitt and Angela Waggoner. Survived by wife Stella Moore, daughter Robin Moore Dockery, son Odie Moore (Tresa), brothers Danny Moore (Lisa) and William T (Buster) Moore, niece Brooke Moore, grandchildren Jason Moore (Rachel) Jacksonville, NC Danielle Radcliff, Cory Radcliff, Trenton Moore of Knoxville, great grandchildren Leah Smith and Jonathan Smith II and Wesley Moore. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Wednesday at Weavers with chapel service to follow at 8 pm. Family and friends will meet 11:15 am Thursday at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on John Sevier Highway for an 11:30 am interment with military honors.
