Virgie Mae Bell, 86 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 9, 2018. Virgie retired from Palm Beach Company after 44 years. She was a devoted mother and mamaw to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Alonzo and Bonnie Haun; grandson, Chris Lumpkin; sisters, Ruby, Betty, and Mary; and brother, George. Virgie is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Andy and Peggy and Mike; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Martie and Stevie and Pat; 6 grandchildren, Tonya (Dean), Andy (Christie), Josh (Taffy), Jeremiah, Matt (Stephanie) and Luke (Mary); several great-grandchildren; 2 sisters and brother-in-law, Iva and Bill and Kathleen. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 pm at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm, Rev. David Collins officiating. Family and friends will meet Thursday, December 13, 2018 at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home and go in procession to Caledonia Cemetery for a 1:00 pm graveside service.
