Shirley Newby Ashe, 88, went to be with the Lord on December 6, 2023, holding her beloved Charlie’s hand. Shirley was born April 5, 1935 to Barnie and E.O. Hutchens in Sneedville, Tennessee. She is survived by her husband Charlie of 43 years, a sister Sandra (Jack) Stooksbury, daughters Dee (Gordon) Turnage and Linda Cowser, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her son Perry Burnette. Family, friends, and others whose lives Shirley touched are invited to Weaver Funeral Home, Saturday for a 3-5pm visitation with service to follow at 5pm.Officiating Pastor Teresa McClure.
