Patsy Joan Morris

Patsy J. Hammock Morris, age 82, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 2, 2023. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed. Patsy worked at Tennessee School for the Deaf for 30 years. She attended South Knoxville Church of God for a number of years and loved her pastor and church family. She was preceded in death by parents, Earl Hammock and Bessie Richards; husband, Edward J.C. Morris Sr.; sisters, Barbara Russell and Carolyn Lunsford. Patsy is survived by daughter, Rita (Robert) Hancock; son, Jay (Denise) Morris; granddaughters, Ashley (Adam) Bonnell and Lauren Morris; great-grandchildren, Hadley and Connor Bonnell; sister, Martha Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Special thank you to the staff of Gentiva Hospice for all of the compassion and care that was given to her during her illness. Also a special thanks to her sister, Martha Johnson, for her continuous care she gave during her illness along with Patsy's niece, Denise Clark. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at Berry Funeral Home 3704 Chapman Hwy.
