Michael Wayne Hall, age 60, of Knoxville, TN went to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 27, 2015. Mike retired from U.T. Medical Center Laundry Dept. and was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by father, Joe D. Hall; step-father, John “Pickle” Batton; step-brother-in-law, Timothy Shiben; maternal grandparents, William and Kathleen Arthur; paternal grandparents, Earl and Blanche Hall. Survived by companion and caregiver, Ollie Iva Tanner; mother, Bonnie (Hall) Batton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jody and Ernie Voithofer, and Kathleen and Mike Batton; nephews, Jerry Voithofer, and Okey (Katie) Batton; nieces, Michelle (Ed Childers) Batton, Christy (Jonathan) Pleban; great nieces, Kyndra Batton, and Sienna Batton, step-sisters, Erica Shiben & family, Judy (Jon) Stewart & family, Jan (John) Boscia & family, step-brother, John (Nadine) Batton & family; extended family, David Tanner, Steve Tanner, Terry (Sandy) Tanner, Katie Tanner, and Steven Tanner. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Pam, April, and the Chaplain’s Office at U.T. Hospice; Brittiea, Lori, and Linda. The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home on Monday, June 29, 2015 from 6:00 to 7:00pm with the funeral service to follow at 7:00pm with Rev. J. B. Caylor officiating. Family and friends will meet at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 10:00am to go in procession for an 11:00am graveside service at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
