Mark Allen

Mark grew up with family and friends at Emerald Avenue United Methodist Church. Mark is a graduate of Knox Central High School, class of 1989, where he lettered in baseball and football. He continued his education and athletic career at Hiwassee College and the University of North Carolina Asheville where he played baseball. As an accomplished catcher he was invited to several MLB try out camps. Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. In 1993, he began his professional career at DeRoyal. He then became a sales lead at Owens & Minor. In 2008, with his outgoing personality, he started his dream job selling sports apparel with Alleson Athletics until 2018. He then continued his career as an Independent Sales Rep at J & H Sales Representing Founder Sport Group. Mark continued his love for baseball by coaching numerous youth and travel baseball teams. Mark is a lifetime Tennessee Volunteer fan. Go Vols!!! Special thanks to Chris Warwick and Lee Elliott, “Brothers By Heart”, along with an abundance of family and friends. Mark is survived by his mother Janice Allen, his pride and joy are his children, Lily and Jonathan. Preceded in death by Grandparents RB and Wanda Carter. Friday, July 22nd from 5 to 7 PM with the service to follow at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home. The graveside burial will take place Saturday July 23rd at 1 PM at Lynnhurst Cemetery Knoxville, TN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emerald Avenue United Methodist Church.
