Margaret Maeola Donahue

Margaret Maeola Donahue, 86, of Knoxville, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017. She was born on September 30, 1931 in Knoxville, Tennessee and retired from Levi Strauss after 20 years of faithful service. She was a member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly for 70 years where she taught Sunday School for more than 10 years. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, J. C. Donahue; parents, Steward Melvon Gibson, Sr. and Lucy Margaret Wright Gibson; brother, J.W. Gibson; and sister, Betty Gibson Whaley. Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Flynn; granddaughter, Kelcey Flynn; honorary granddaughters, Hillary Herbert Christiansen and Ginger Davis; sister, Jerelene Perryman; brothers, Jim (Patricia) Gibson and Melvon (Mary) Gibson, Jr.; sister-in-law, Edna Gibson; brother-in-law, Wayman Whaley, numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 26, from 5 to 7 pm at Berry Highland West, 9913 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville TN 37932 with a Funeral Service to follow at 7 pm.
