Lola was born June 9, 1942, in Mannheim, Germany. She grew up in Germany and traveled throughout Europe. After graduating, Lola started working at BBC, she then met and married the love of her life, Wayne and moved to America. She received her U.S. citizenship in 1997. Lola retired from Advanced Chiropractic after 30 years of working as a physical therapist and X-ray technician. Lola loved her family immensely, she especially loved traveling with her family, whether a quick trip to the mountains, a week at the beach, or a family vacation in Europe. Lola loved being outdoors and enjoyed hiking trails, sledding in Cades Cove, and finding unique seashells. Lola also loved helping people. Any time an opportunity came up she was the first to offer help.
Lola is preceded in death by her parents Erwin and Rosl Vieth and her sister and brother-in-law, Rosemarie and Max Wimberger. Lola is survived by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, A. Wayne Hylton. She is also survived by her daughter Carolyn (Wayne) Art of Knoxville, TN; her son Jerry (Betty) Hylton of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren Lorle (John) Young of Sevierville, TN; Matthew (Olivia) Art of Knoxville, TN; Devin (Sarah) Hylton of Oak Ridge, TN; and Justin Hylton of Knoxville, TN.
Funeral services will be held at Berry Funeral Home. Receiving of friends will be Saturday, November 4 from 5-7 p.m. with the funeral service directly after. Brother Geoff Mabe officiating. Family and friends will meet Sunday, November 5 at Asbury Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. Interment. Condolences may be offered at www.berryfuneralhome.com
