Lisa was born and raised in Knoxville. Growing up she had many interests including ballet and piano lessons. She was a member of Y-Teens and was also in the Knoxville Nativity Pageant from 1972-2018. She graduated from Central High School and attended the University of Tennessee. She met her true love and best friend Charles (Chuck) Phillip Montgomery and were married in 1989. They had two children, Andrew (Drew) Brownlow, 1992 and Austin Burgner, 1998. Lisa spent most of her time raising her family, working, and volunteering. She was the president of the Rocky Hill Elementary Parent Teacher Organization and later served as president of the Bearden Band Boosters.
Lisa was preceded in death by parents LeVaughn “Jerry” Goode and Mildred Burnett Goode, brother David Goode and nephew Jason Goode. Lisa is survived by her devoted spouse: Charles (Chuck) Phillip Montgomery; Sons: Andrew (Drew) Montgomery and Austin Bergner Montgomery; Daughter Laura Finer (Shawn) and children Reid and Emmy of Fort Worth, TX; Jerald “Jerry” Goode and Laurie (Seguin, TX); Sisters: Patty Goode Cochran of Knoxville TN and Margaret Taylor Goode Sevierville TN; Nieces and Nephews: Eliza Goode Northrup (Jason) and children Grayson and Owen of Spring Hill, TN, Adam Goode (Ashley) and sons Paxton and Davis of Fort Worth, TX, Holly Cochran Pace (Justin) and children Navy Jane and Major of Knoxville, TN; Zach Cochran (Julie) and children Wyatt, Elliott, Blair, and Jude of Knoxville, TN; and Meredith Goode (Beth Frank) of Santa Fe, NM.

A Receiving of family and friends for Lisa will be held Sunday, January 7, 2024 at 1:00pm at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37919, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00pm.
