Linda Lee Rankin

Linda L. Rankin, age 54 of West Knoxville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 12, 2015. Linda was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and moved to Knoxville Tennessee with her family in 2005. She taught piano for over 20 years both in Denver and Knoxville. Before moving to Knoxville, she was a member of Northern Hills Christian Church in Denver where she played piano for the Praise Team and she is a current member of North Star Church, Sherrill Blvd. Linda loved her family and spending time with them and enjoyed watching the grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Tom Rankin; daughter and son-in-law, April and Matt Emmert; Son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Melissa Rankin; grandchildren, Noah (6), Jordyn (4) and Elizabeth (4 months); parents, Elfriede and Herbert Robinson; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Jim Phillips; mother and father-in-law, Robert and Carrol Rankin; brother-in-laws, Clay Rankin (Stephanie) and Brian Rankin (Patricia); sister-in-law, Johanna Ling; 8 nephews. Family will receive friends 6 – 7 PM Tuesday at NorthStar Church, 9929 Sherrill Blvd. Knoxville, Tn. 37932 with a service to celebrate Linda’s life to follow at 7 PM. Rev. Scott Cagle officiating.
