Kristy R. Stewart

Kristy Rebecca Rains Stewart, age 46, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 8, 2022 (Mothers Day). She was a life-long member of Inskip Baptist Church. Kristy was employed by Duraline in Clinton, TN and formerly employed by Luxottica. Preceded in death by her Daddy, Ed Rains, Jr; grandparents, Edward Rains, Sr. and Thelma, and Charles and Gladys White. Survived by husband, Carey “Goof” Stewart; mother, Glenna Rains; sister and best friend, Kym Rains; mother in law, Linda Suddeth (Larry); brother in law, Keith Stewart (Melanie); sister in law Melody Griffin (John); special friends, Robin Bise and Niki Burriss; numerous friends in Abbeville, SC; nieces and nephews Robert Stewart (Meri), Tripp Griffin (Brantly), Thunder Norris, Micah Rollins, Aiyana Davidson, Amber Hall (Griffin), Autumn Woods (Barnett), and Mackensie Hardison; three special pets, Millie, Buster, and Ty. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Thursday at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive. The funeral service will be 12 pm Friday. Entombment will follow in Lynnhurst Cemetery with Rev. Mike Segers and Rev. Denton Hickman officiating. The family requests that those who attend wear their South Carolina Gamecock or Tennessee Vols apparel. Memorial donations may be made to Young Williams.
