Kenneth Charles Stokes

Mr. Kenneth Charles Stokes, age 87, of Knoxville, passed away March 15, 2015. He was born on May 22, 1927 to the late Lee and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Stokes. Mr. Stokes was retired from ALCOA, a Navy veteran, and an active member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church, loved to camp and work in his garden. He is survived by: son, Kenny (Renee) Stokes; daughter, Cathy Thomas; step-sons, Dennis and David Wester; stepdaughter, Rose Poe; sisters, Christine Buckner and Anna Lee West; grandchildren, Preston (Donna) Stokes, Kameron (Amanda) Stokes, Christy Thomas, and Billy Thomas; 6 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by: First Wife, Margaret Stansberry Stokes; second wife, Martha Wester Stokes; five brothers and 4 sisters. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Wallace Memorial Baptist Church at 1:30p.m. with visitation beginning at 12p.m. with Dr. Mike Boyd officiating.
