Kenneth Fred Roach

Kenneth Fred Roach, age 84, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away at home on Sunday, May 29, 2022. Kenneth was born September 18, 1937 in Mascot, TN. He was a graduate of Carter High School, Class of 1957. While attending Carter High School, Kenneth scored 4 touchdowns in a single game and held that record for 30 years. He was employed with the Knoxville City and Knox County schools for 36 years. Kenneth was a faithful member of Central Church of God.

He was preceded in death by parents, Fred and Delphia Roach. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce Roach; son and daughter-in-law, Kent Roach Sr. and Deborah Roach; grandchildren, Kenda Roach Kelley, Kent "Buddy" Roach Jr. and Cody Roach; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph Roach and Jean Roach of Indianapolis, IN; several nephews and nieces. The family would like to thank the staff of Avalon Hospice for their services and care during this difficult time. Also, the family wants to extend their appreciation to special friends Michelle Miller and Shirley Tolson. Kenneth was a great and loving husband, father and grandfather.

Graveside service will take place Friday, June 3rd at Berry Highland Memorial on Kingston Pike, Meeting at the graveside at 10:45 am for an 11am committal service with reception to follow at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Central Church of God, 4721 Papermill Dr. Knoxville, TN 37909.
