Kate was born on August 29, 1986 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Mike and Terryl (Eastvold) Oliver. She graduated from Karns High School in 2004 and was a proud member of the KHS Drumline. On August 2, 2018, she married the love of her life, Amanda Michelle Fox. One of the biggest rewards of marrying Amanda was becoming Cayden's mother, and they immediately developed a special bond. In Cayden's words, "She meant a lot to me and was good at playing guitar."
Kate had a positive, contagious personality with a smile and laugh that would light up any room. She was extremely charismatic and charming with a knack for scaring people and pulling amazing pranks. She loved her friends and family fiercely and would be the first to do anything for them.
Kate was an avid music lover, concert-goer and performer. She was a great guitar player and loved teaching Cayden how to play. Anyone who knew Kate knows that she also had a passion for her job of nearly 14 years at Dick's Sporting Goods. She was known for her commitment to the development of others, constantly offering encouragement, advice, advancement, and making coworkers feel more like family. Kate's best days were spent on the lake fishing with family and always turning it into a friendly competition of who would get the biggest catch of the day.
Kate was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bob and Ann Oliver and Duane Eastvold. She is survived by her wife Amanda, son Cayden, parents Mike and Terryl Oliver, brother Matthew Oliver, nieces Emma and Hannah Oliver, grandmother Hazel (Joan) Eastvold, and relatives living in Georgia, Minnesota, and Tennessee.
