Joyce Ann Campbell, affectionately known as Judy and Mammaw, was born on January 30th, 1938, in Knoxville, Tennessee. God called her home on February 5th 2024. Judy graduated from Young High School class of 1955 where she was named, "Miss Young High". She was the beloved daughter of James Otis Booker and Elta Madge Booker. She had two loving daughters. She was a very active young mother in her South Knoxville community, where she volunteered as South Knoxville Dogwood Trail Coordinator. When her daughters wanted to be in Girl Scouts, Judy decided to be a Girl Scout Leader starting with Brownies, then Juniors and finally Cadets. She influenced and mentored many young girls in South Knoxville. She used her talent as a pianist to play for Knoxville Recreation, Lake Forest Presbyterian Church Praise Team, and the Crosswalk Community Church Praise team. She enjoyed praising God with the sweet music she played. She was an avid golfer and was the Woman's Club Champion at Bays Mountain Country Club in the 70's. She also played in many areas golf tournaments. Judy was an entrepreneur as a young woman with two teenage daughters. She always had a flare for baking and entertaining, and using her talents she started Campbell Catering with her sister Kay Clark. She specialized in wedding cakes and receptions for over 25 years. She was, "Mammaw" to her 4 grandchildren as well as her 10 great grandchildren and many neighborhood and family friends. Her joys included singing, gardening, sewing, dancing, praying for and guiding all her grandchildren. Judy is survived by her two daughters - Sharon Pierce (husband Mike), Karen Walkup (husband Mike). Her cherished grandchildren - Rachel Pierce Wesson (husband Chris), Jamison Walkup (wife Sarah), Ryan Pierce and Jeramie Walkup (wife Abby). Her beloved great grandchildren Aiden, Chloe, Ellie, Silas, Nathan, Louis, Katherine, and Joseph Wesson, Wylder, and Juniper Walkup. Judy's devoted sister, Kay Booker Clark (husband LeRoy). Her nephew Richard Clark (wife Amelia), nieces Kathy Clark Stoutt (husband Mark) and Terri Clark Mack (husband Danny). Her cousins, Jane Branson and Perry McGinnis (Carol) and cousin-in-law Joyce Ann and Charlie Elder, special thanks, and love to her neighbors on Ailsie Drive and many dear Friends at Crosswalk Community Church, who loved her well. She was preceded in death by her Godly parents James Otis Booker and Elta Magde Booker, her Mother-in-Law, Grace Campbell and Father-in-Law, Dan Campbell.
