Jonathan Charles Watson, age 36 of Knoxville lost his courageous battle with depression and took his life on June 21, 2018. He was a graduate of West High School and was a former employee of the Jellinek Rehabilitation Center in Knoxville and had also worked for several years at Young Williams Animal Center. Jon was loved by so many, but his thinking was too clouded to feel the love around him. Jon will always be remembered for his quick wit, gentle heart and inquisitive mind and he will be dearly missed. Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charlie and Gwen Wicker and paternal grandfather, C.B. Watson. Survived by his mother, Cathy Watson; father, Chuck Watson; daughter, Althea Winters; sister, Jennifer Gentry and husband Troy; niece, Dalton Gentry; grandmother, Peggy Watson; aunts, Carletta Green, Teresa Gard and Shirley Watson; uncle, Steve Watson; cousins, Brittany Beitz, Jason Watson, Christy Wilhoite, Joe Green, Josh Green, Jake Green and their families. A memorial service will be held at Weaver Funeral Home Wednesday, June 27th at 6:00 pm. Rev. Anthony Burton officiating. In lieu of flowers, please be kind to one another.
