It is with great sadness that the family of Jimmy Dene Anderson announces his passing on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the age of 80 years. Born in Sweetwater, Tennessee, Jimmy is predeceased by his loving parents, Gladys and Eugene Anderson. Jimmy retired from Norfolk Southern Railway and was a 53-year member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church. He was a dedicated and loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be forever and lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Sandy, his children Brad Anderson, Bart Anderson, Whitney and Jeremy Thompson, and his adoring granddaughter, Abby Thompson. He is also survived by his sisters Sylvia Parker and Patsy Bolt and brother-in-law Richard Parker and nephews Greg Bolt, Nick Parker, and Ben Parker. Having never met a stranger, Jimmy will be missed by countless friends, neighbors, and extended family. Jimmy’s family will be receiving friends at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, Tennessee on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 4 PM to 7 PM. A graveside service officiated by Reverend Charlie McNutt will occur the following day at Sweetwater Memorial Gardens, 1838 US Hwy 11 on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 11 am.
