Jerry Lee Kress

Jerry L. Kress, age 80, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord at Williamsburg Villa 4. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Martin Kress and Nell Harmon Kress White, and brother, Jack Kress of Knoxville. He is survived by his wife, Annie Kress, son, Darin Kress and his wife Jamie, of Lakeland, Florida, son, Tyson Kress, and his wife, Debbie, of Knoxville, grandchildren, Jared Kress, and his wife, Abbie, of Fort Collins, Colorado, Christa Allen, and her husband Josh of Knoxville, great grandson, Joseph Gosnell of Knoxville, brother, Ron Kress, and his wife, Norma, of Bristol, Virginia, and sister, Mona Marris McDowell of Merced, California, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special thanks to the caregivers and nurses at Williamsburg Villa 4 and Smokey Mountain Hospice for all their professionalism and support. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 8, from 5:00-7:00 pm, with a service to follow at Sevier Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Darin Kress officiating. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery, Bristol, Virginia on Thursday, June 9th at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sevier Heights Baptist Church building fund.
