James Delmar Wilson

Wilson, James Delmar, 77 of Seymour, TN passed away Friday, November 4, 2016. He was a member of Seymour First Baptist Church. Jim was a very sweet, loving man that had an interesting life. He graduated Young High School and went to University of Tennessee. Jim graduated with a degree in Microbiology. He worked for various pharmaceutical companies and retired from Abbott Laboratories. Upon retirement, Jim returned to the Knoxville area. He enjoyed life to the fullest and dedicated himself to many passions. Jim loved UT sports and served his church faithfully in many positions. He was preceded in death by parents, Woodrow and Eula Wilson; brother, Frank Wilson. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lela Wilson; daughters, Cheryl (Andy) Long, Emily (Kris) Harris; grandchildren, Kristin and Justin Long, Isaac Harris; brother, David (Donna) Wilson; mother by love, Ethel Mize; several nieces, nephews and a host of other family. Family will receive friends Friday, November 11th from 5-7pm with service to follow at 7pm at Berry Highland South on Simpson Road. Family and friends will meet at Berry Highland South Saturday, November 12th at 10:30 am for burial.
