James Earl Huff

James “Jimmy” Earl Huff, age 63, went to be with the Lord on November 8, 2017, after fighting a difficult battle with cancer. He was born in Knoxville, TN, on July 4, 1954, a firecracker from the start. Jimmy has been a Christian since the age of 21 and a member of Karns Church of Christ. He will be remembered as a devoted husband and loving father. He was known as a calm, sensitive man with an off-the-wall sense of humor. While in high school, Jimmy met his wife at Shoney’s and they have been together ever since. He had a fondness for music and was in the UT Marching Band, playing the trumpet. He treasured spending time with his family, traveling, and cooking. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Callie Huff, and brother, Roger “Rusty” Huff. He is survived by his caring wife and best friend of 42 years, Peggy Ann Huff; loving daughter, Jessica Ann Huff; sister, Mary Floyd; along with several nieces and nephews, and many friends. The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Karns Church of Christ, 6612 Beaver Ridge Rd, Knoxville TN 37931. A Funeral Service to celebrate Jimmy’s life will be held at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jimmy’s honor to Southeast Institute of Biblical Studies, 6612 Beaver Ridge Rd. Knoxville, TN 37931.
