GREEN, JAMES RAY “JIM” - age 75, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Physicians Regional Medical Center. Mr. Green was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from the United States Postal Service. He was also a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. He was a 1956 graduate of Fulton High School and a member of the Breakfast Club. Jim was a former coach of several dif-ferent sports at the Inskip -Norwood ballpark. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen Green; and sister, Mary Lackey. Survivors include his loving wife, Hazel Green; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Debbie Green; daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine and Benjie Carr, Melissa and Ben Craig; grandchildren, Trevor, Ashley, Micah, Tristen, Whitney, Thomas, Elizabeth and Hannah; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Jim Hamby; sister, Sharon Tate; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friend, Sid Gwyn. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the North Knoxville Dialysis Center. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 28, 2013, from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. in the Lynnhurst/Greenwood Chapel, a funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Tatum officiating.
