Large, Irene B. – age 93 of Knoxville, TN passed away on March 22, 2025 after an extended illness. Irene was born on March 28, 1931 to James Isaac Barnes and Martha Catherine Garver Barnes in Cosby, Tennessee.
On September 20, 1947, Irene married the love of her life, William L. "Bill" Large who preceded her in death. In May of 1952, together they trusted Jesus as their Savior and fervently followed Him for all their lives. Now they have seen Him face to face and are enjoying the Eternal place He has prepared for them.
Irene was preceded in death by sons; Roger, Richard, Danny and David Large. She is survived by daughters, Beverly Miles, Charlene (Wayne) Mitchell and Donna (John) Corum; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 25th from 11am to 1pm with funeral service at 1pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home. Graveside service will immediately follow at Lynnhurst Cemetery with Rev. John Lawson officiating.
