Howard R. Wilson, age 83, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully Friday, January 11, 2019. He was a long time member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and served as a greeter for many years. Howard was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Korean War. He retired from Sears after 34 years. Preceded in death by parents, William and Flossie Wilson; infant daughter; sisters, Jean Holland, Geraldine Trimble, and Charlotte Inman; brothers, Warren Wilson and Glen Wilson. Survivors include wife of 59 years, Joyce Wilson; daughter, Trina Ridenour and husband Keith; 2 grandchildren, Seth and Isaac Ridenour; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2019, at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Drive. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 p.m. Monday for the 1:00 p.m. graveside service at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Dr. Alan Price will officiate.
