HER BELOVED SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2023. SHE WAS BORN IN THOMASVILLE, NC.
HELEN WAS A MUCH LOVED WIFE, MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER. SHE WAS RETIRED FROM MIDDLEBROOK PIKE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, WHERE SHE SERVED AS BOOKKEEPER/TREASURER FOR TWENTY TWO YEARS. SHE WAS A LONG TIME MEMBER OF MIDDLEBROOK PIKE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, WHOSE MEMBERS SHE DEARLY LOVED. HER FAMILY ALONG WITH HER CHURCH AND ORGANIZATIONS THAT SHE WAS INVOLVED WITH FULFILLED HER LIFE WITH LOVE AND HAPPINESS.
HELEN WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER PARENTS, CHARLIE AND MAUDE BLACK; THREE BROTHERS AND HUSBANDS, S. FRANKLIN HINKLE, VERNON B. HOLLISTER AND WILBURN E. WALKER; DAUGHTER, VICKIE HILL-WIX. SURVIVORS INCLUDE HER SONS, STEVEN F. HINKLE AND JOSEPH B. HOLLISTER AND WIFE GAIL; DAUGHTERS, LYNNE E. STOM AND MARY C. HOLLISTER; SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN, THREE GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND TWO GREAT-GREAT GRANDCHILDREN; THREE SISTERS AND ONE BROTHER.
A VISITATION WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2023 FROM 1:00 - 2:00PM WITH A FUNERAL SERVICE TO FOLLOW. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL OCCUR AT 3:00PM AT BERRY HIGHLAND MEMORIAL CEMETERY.
IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, MEMORIALS MAY BE MADE TO THE FISH PROGRAM OF MIDDLEBROOK PIKE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 7234 MIDDLEBROOK PIKE, KNOXVILLE, TN. 37909.
