Harold H. Davis Jr.

Harold H. Davis Jr., age 80, of Seymour, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, December 30, 2018. He was a 1956 graduate of South High School where he played football and baseball. Harold attended the University of Tennessee. He began his career with the Knoxville Fire Department, where he retired as captain in 1989. Harold then began working for E-911 as a fire department dispatcher and served in that position for 15 years. He was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church for 44 years. Through the Knoxville Fire Department, Harold was proud to serve his community. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mable Davis. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Nancy Scalf Davis, son and daughter-in-law; Tim and Cindy Davis, daughter and son-in-law; DeAnn and Jim Tait; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Joan Davis; grandchildren, Wesley (Kelsie) Davis, Hannah Frey, Leslie Davis, Chad Frey, Allie Tait, Dustin Tait and Zak Tait; great-grandchild, Maple Eloise Davis, and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends, Friday January 4, 2019, from 11:30AM until 1:00PM at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00PM. Rev. Charlie McNutt to officiate. Honors will be provided by the Knoxville Fire Department. Following the service, family and friends will proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery in procession an interment service. Pallbearers will be members of the Knoxville Fire Department.
