Gertrude S. Daugherty

Gertrude Lillian Schubert Daugherty, age 87, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Commonwealth Assisted Living in Oak Ridge, TN. She was a longtime resident of Powell, TN and a member of Temple Baptist Church. Born March 5, 1934 in Jenkins, KY to parents, Ralph B. Schubert, Sr. and Dixie Thompson Schubert. She devoted many years caring for the “loves of her life”, her husband and son. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd C. Daugherty, Sr.; son, Lloyd C. Daugherty, Jr. and infant brother. Survived by brothers, Paul C. Schubert and wife Alicia Schubert of Oliver Springs, TN; Ralph B. Schubert, Jr. and wife Sharon Schubert of Harriman, brother-in-law Ray Daugherty and wife Nancy Daugherty of Oak Ridge; sisters, Wilma Melton of Tullahoma, TN; Betty Daugherty of Florida; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Dave and Shirley Beeler and Stan and Lisa Orr.
