Eunice Aileen Gillespie

Eunice Aileen Russell Gillespie went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 21, 2017 at her residence. Eunice was a member of South Knoxville Church of God and retired from U. T. Medical Center. She was preceded in death by parents, John and Rentha Owenby; husbands, James Howard Russell and Floyd Alvin Gillespie; daughter, Edna Fowler; granddaughter, Lisa Ann Hurst; brother's, Rosco and Bobby Owenby and sister Stella Mize. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Wayne and Jeanne Russell; daughter, Mary Hurst; grandchildren, Melissa (Bryan )Naill, Greg (Nikki )Henry, Michelle (Terry) Crawford, Jamie (Laura) Russell, Kendra Shelley and Rebecca (Kelby) Pendleton; great-grandchildren, Chris Hurst, Mason Henry, Madison Henry, Chloe Naill, Cheyenne Nicholson, Kaitlyn Russell and Lily Shelley; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Cassie and Jack Cansler, Shirley and Alvin Goins and Imogene and Charles Tallent; brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Mary Owenby. Extended family, Robert Branch and wife Melody, Starla and Butch Swartiwelder, Gail Long, Grace, Jerry Ownby, Caroline and Raymond Tinsley, The family would like to thank her church family and U.T. Hospice for all their care and support during this time. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway. Service will follow at 8:00pm with Rev. Robert Branch officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday, May 26, 2017 at Mt. Olive Cemetery for an 11:00am graveside service.
