On Thursday, February 16, 2023 Ernestine "Ernie" Howard passed through heaven's gates to be with Jesus Christ for all eternity. Ernie was born on November 6, 1929 in Rochester, NY to Ernest and Monica Jakeman. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 37 years, Paul Howard and her sisters, Ruth Stiles and Helen Hotchkiss. Ernie was a graduate of Churchville High School in Churchville, NY and Rochester Business Institute. She loved mentoring elementary school children in the Fort Mill and Rock Hill, SC schools for many years.
Ernie leaves behind her daughter, Kathryn Mohring and her husband Richard of Vonore, TN; her two grandsons, Eric Mohring, his wife Carrie and their children, Emma and Owen of Gibsonia, PA and Christopher Mohring, his wife Sarah and their children Walter Rye and Theo Ash of Dallas, TX. Ernie's family will hold a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
