Don Stohrer

He proudly served our country during Vietnam in the United States Army . Don boxed while serving in the Army and later in the Golden Gloves as a Featherweight. He was an avid Tennessee Volunteer football fan. Don enjoyed spending time golfing with his friend, Steve. He loved being Papaw to his 3 grandsons and 3 great-granddaughters.

Don was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Stohrer; mother, Alice Brown Stohrer Mezik and great-grandson, Caleb Thomas Newberry.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Stohrer; daughters, Donna Sisson, Rebecca Smith; grandsons, Caleb Newberry, Jerrod Newberry, Daniel Allen Smith, Dylan Smith; great-granddaughters, Laklyn Newberry, Emie Newberry, Falyn Sienna Newberry; sisters, Carol Grench, Annie Stohrer, Linda Humphrey, Karen Armour; brother, Paul Mezik; extended family; special friends, Jim DeRopp, Steve Yarnell and a host of many dear friends.

Family and friends will gather Sunday, October 23, 2022 between the hours of 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville to celebrate Don's life.
