Deborah was born in Salisbury, North Carolina and grew up in Knoxville. She pursued a career in nursing, attending Fort Sanders School of Nursing and received her BSN from Maryville College.
Deborah had a passion for the outdoors, riding her horses, all animals and insects, photography, and her newfound love of biking. It was during one of our many adventures that Deborah was called home to be with Jesus, His Father, and the Holy Spirit. She transitioned peacefully, surrounded by the love of her brothers, Jim and John, John’s wife Jessica, and her devoted husband, Rip. They were all blessed to be with her as she began her new journey.
Deborah was so much more than just a wife; she was a best friend, an adventure buddy, and the love of Rip's life. For over thirty years, they walked hand in hand, exploring the world and embracing every moment together. Whether they were sailing the waters of Savannah and Hilton Head, or biking along the Little River, Deborah’s spirit of adventure was always at the heart of their lives.
Her passion for photography was one of the many things that made her so special. Through her lens, she captured the beauty of the world around us, turning everyday moments into works of art. She had a unique gift for seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary, and her photos will continue to remind us of the joy she found in life.
Her life was filled with the love of many cherished pets—Udo, Sadie, Tara, Harley, Coco, Addie, Maryna, Lakota, and Comet—each one a beloved member of her family. Deborah’s love for animals was a reflection of her kind and gentle nature. She could not even stand to let a bug or wasp suffer if it had found its way into their log home without safely transporting it outside to its natural environment. Her caring heart touched every life she encountered.
Even after the profound loss of Deborah, we all find comfort in the countless memories shared. She was a guiding light, always there with love and support, no matter what life brought her way. Deborah’s strength, kindness, and unyielding spirit will continue to inspire us every day.
Though our hearts ache, we know that Deborah is now at peace, resting in the arms of the Lord. Her love remains with us, a beacon of light that will never fade. We will carry her with us always, in every step we take and every adventure we embark upon.
Deborah, my love, my heart’s delight, may your spirit soar free, as bright as the stars that guided us on our many journeys. Until we meet again, know that you are deeply loved and will be forever missed.
Deborah is preceded in death by her father, Henderson Garland Trollinger, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Rip Noel; mother, Patsy Ruth Trollinger; brothers, Jim (Jennifer) Trollinger, and John (Jessica) Trollinger; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her beloved dog, Addie. Thanks to all of our family and friends for your love and support during this time.

Do Not Weep for Me
Do not weep for me, dear friends, For I am in a place of peace. My spirit soars where love transcends, Where pain and sorrow find release.
Remember me in sunsets chased, Through Cades Cove’s golden hue, In every wild creature’s grace, My love is there, shining true.
In every gentle breeze you feel, In whispers of the forest deep, Know that I am with you still, In every dawn, in every sleep.
So let your hearts not heavy be, For I have found my perfect rest. Hold close the love you gave to me, And know that I have been truly blessed.
Rip Noel
