David Eugene Heimbaugh, 88, passed away October 5, 2018 after a short bout with cancer. He was born Oct. 18, 1929 to the late Clarence and Blanche (Wagner) Heimbaugh in Treaster Valley, Mifflin County, PA. David served over 23 years in the Army Air Corp and USAF retiring in 1970. He continued his civilian career at St. Mary's Hospital, Knoxville, TN retiring in 1992. David is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mary E. (Houser) Heimbaugh, three daughters: Joan (Darvin) Yoder of Reedsville PA, Lila (Larry) Schaaf of Lewistown, PA and Molly Hyatt of Knoxville, TN. Three grandchildren, Christopher ( Amy) Yoder of Belleville, PA, Adam Schaible, Pittsburgh, PA and Sara Schaaf ( Matthew) Smith, Burnham, PA; six great-grandchildren; and brother, James Heimbaugh, Milroy, PA. Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00-7:00 pm at Weaver Funeral Home on Western Ave, Knoxville, TN with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 pm. Family and friends will meet 11:15 am Tuesday at the TN Veterans Cemetery, E. Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN for an 11:30 am interment.
