Joyce, I am so sorry to hear this.  He seemed like such a loving dad when he came to visit you at ETCH...

Dan was a great man & policeman and always a compassionate man . May God bless Barbara & family. 

Bro. Dan was a very special man. I did not know him too well, but we were in the same Sunday School class together for a time, and I remember the encouragement with which he would great me. 
He was an extremely faithful man at church, and I know he was an encouragement to his pastor and other church members. He was always supportive to me even long after we had met and parted. 
I know Heaven gained a godly man. 

I will miss you brother. You were always a constant in my life. I remember working full time and trying to get my undergrad degree. I was always rushing to class on UT campus. After getting 3 city parking tickets and not being able to pay them, the fourth time they towed my car. I would have rather walked from then on than to call you but I knew you would help me. You picked me up from campus and took me to the city pound and helped me get my car back. I thought you were really going to let me have it but surprisingly you were kind and just shook your head and said something like “ I thought you were smarter than that “. 
 I thank you for all you did for me on this earth. I  know you are praising on the streets of gold. No pain, no suffering.  I know I will see you again some sweet day! 

Barbara and girls, My heart is hurting so much due to the loss of my best friend brother Dan. He helped  mom raise us girls and gave us things we needed and he did without. He gave up his teenage years to help mom.  He was more like a dad to me 
instead of a brother.  We would argue like any other siblings would do but when night came we knew we loved each other. I’m going to miss  my phone calls every morning at 9 AM, and my weekly visits with him and Barbara. He will definitely be missed by his family and friends. God got a very good Christian man when he reached for Dan. I know he is having a happy reunion with all our family in Heaven. Brother I’m going to miss you so very much more than words can explain.

I was so sorry to hear of Dan's death.  I had the opportunity to work with  both Dan and Barbara during my career at the Knoxville Police Department.  My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

My deepest condolences to the Brock Family.  I had the privilege to grow up with Dan’s little Sister, Leslie. Dan always was a great Big Brother who taught by example. I know how much he will be missed.  My prayers are with you all during this hard time. 🙏❤️🙏

Don and I are lifting you all up in our prayers.  We all  know Dan is exactly where he would want to be , with his Lord and Savior.  God has healed him completely.  
I know our Mother welcomed Danny boy with open arms. I miss my brother so very much, my heart hurts.  I will always be so grateful for all the things he did for me through out my life.  He was the only father figure I ever had and I will always remember my wedding day when he walked me down the aisle and gave my hand to Don.  There are so many good memories that I will cherish forever.

Barbara. Dan (Sgt Brock) was my favorite along with you of course.  I love you both and my heart broke when I read the news. I’m sorry to hear about your dad. I loved how he would come visit you at work. He was such a sweet man. 



Dan worked closely with me in major crimes at KPD. I worked closely with him for all the years before that in patrol. Dan was a very good dedicated honest officer.  He was a true Christian man who lived his faith daily. It was a genuine pleasure to be around Dan.  He and  Barbara had a good life together and he will be missed by all who had the privilege of calling him friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this very sad time. God Bless You.

So sorry to hear of Dan’s passing.  May God comfort Barbara and all the family at this time.  

When I was in college, Mr. Dan gave me a place to live.  For 2 years, he provided a home for me and fed me.  During that time, my mother passed away.  He was so very kind to me during that time.  I never, ever forgot that kindness and generosity....at that time he was working 3 jobs and had 2 of his own daughters still at home.   I can never say thank you enough to him, but I have thanked God for him many times.  I know He heard "Well done" when he opened his eyes to see Jesus.  You will be missed Mr. Dan.  When I get there, I am hugging your neck.
