Cleveland Byron Moffett, 64, Louisville, TN, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 2, 2015, with his wife by his side. He attended West High School and the University of Tennessee. Cleve was the former president of Leinart’s, Inc. and Control-Equip, Inc. He was a wonderful, loving husband to his wife, Dianne and dearly loved his children. He was an extremely giving person and cared so much for his relatives, pets and many friends – his heart was larger than life and open to all he met.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Jean Leinart, father, R.C. Smith, Jr. , his step-father Dr. Charles Moffett, and grandparents, Byron H. and Margaret Wright Leinart.
Survivors include his wife, Dianne; daughter, Christy Ward (Bill); sons Byron, Ean (Rebecca), and Ryan (Heather) Moffett; sister Marcia; his mother-in-law Mary P. Kinser, whom he dearly loved and who dearly loved him; grandchildren Isabelle, Sophia, Graham, Seaton, Carter, Jack and Grady; brothers-in-law Don (Melissa) and David (Robin) Kinser; sister-in-law Deborah Richards (Tom) and many beloved nieces and nephews.
There will be a private graveside ceremony Monday at Greenwood Cemetery. A celebration of life for friends and family will be held Sunday, July 12 @ 3:00 at Meadhaven, the home of dear friend Kerela Cox. Condolences may be made at www.weaverfuneralservices.com. Arrangements by Weaver Funeral Home.
