Christine Myers McLemore, Knoxville, passed away February 3, 2021, at age 95. Originally from Maynardville, she and her late husband, Grover C. McLemore, lived in South Knoxville where they operated McLemore Printing. Christine was also retired from the Wayland family property management company and was pianist with The Prospectors, a local band composed of her friends. She was a member of Graystone Presbyterian Church.
She was proud of her Maynardville roots and her late parents, Jacob L. Myers and Gertrude McPhetridge Myers. In addition to her late husband, Grover, and parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Fred L. Myers, Sr., Mabel Stanley, George K. Myers, Kent Myers, Kenneth (Dave) Myers, and Pauline Sullenberger. She was also predeceased by her nieces, Ellen Myers and Geraldine Stanley Roberts, and nephews, Ronald Myers, Donald Sullenberger, and Joel Allen Myers. She is survived by her nieces, Karen Myers Burris, Pamela Myers Jordan and Sandra McLemore Pickett, and her nephews, Fred L. Myers, Jr., William (Bill) Myers, Haywood Kent Stanley, K. David Myers, Sanford Kent Myers, and Bobby McLemore, and as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express appreciation to her dedicated Senior Home Assistance sitters, Amedisys hospice staff, and staff of Elmcroft-Halls memory care unit.
Due to the Covid pandemic, there will be no formal receiving of friends. A call of convenience will be Friday and Saturday morning prior to the graveside service. For everyone’s safety, please follow Covid protocol, i.e., wear a mask and social distance. As a memorial, please pray for those suffering from Alzheimer’s or perform an act of kindness in remembrance of her.
