Charles "Charlie" H. Brown, age 80, of Knoxville, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 16, 2022, surrounded by his family. Charlie was a born again Christian and loved Jesus. He was a member of Loveland Baptist Church and former member of Sevier Heights and Riverview Baptist Church. He enjoyed working crossword puzzles and playing solitaire with his fur baby, Pinky by his side. Charlie also loved hunting, fishing and playing golf. Charlie and his best friend, Stan were regulars every Wednesday at Gunny's Indoor Range.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Jerl Brown; mother, Dicie James Brown; brothers, James, Harmon and Robert Brown.
Charlie is survived by loving wife, Brenda Zimmer Brown; son, Bradley (Melissa) Brown; daughter, Jeanna Brown Bennett and sister-in-law, Gail Monday Brown.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 22, 2022 between the hours of 5:00pm until 7:00pm in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville with a service to follow at 7:00pm. Family and friends will meet Saturday, July 23, 2022 for an 11:00am Interment Service at Union Grove Cemetery, Friendsville, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Loveland Baptist Church, 1320 Spring Hill Road, Knoxville, TN 37914.
