Charles Lloyd Varner, born April 18, 1944, passed away January 1, 2016 at home. He was the owner and operator of Hot Rod Barn and former owner of Knoxville Dragway. He was an avid drag racer in earlier years. Charles is preceded in death by parents Charles L. and Alta Varner; and daughter Jane Varner Logan. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carol P. Varner; daughter, Angela C. Varner; son, Rick Varner and wife Jamie; grandchildren, Angie Williams, Sarah Varner, Robbie Logan, Sean Logan, Matthew Logan, Charles Logan; sisters, Brenda Self, Charlene Vaughn and several nieces. Special thanks to Kim Wells, caregiver and personal friend. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Wednesday January 6, 2016 with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home 2300 Adair Drive Knoxville Tn.
