Stallion, Charles, age 86, of Knoxville went to be with the Lord on July 8, 2011. Preceded in death by wife of 42 years, Vera Stallion; parents, Walter Carrie and Ida Mae; sister, Geneva Payne. Survived by wife of 24 years, Alma Stallion; sister, Juanita (F.D.) Williams; daughters, Ann (Mack) Martin, of South Carolina, Barbara (Jim) Davies, of Knoxville, Theresa (Rick) Adcock, of Knoxville; step-daughter, Sue (Charles) Long, of Knoxville; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He served as Sergeant, U.S. Army-WWII, European Theatre of Operations 1943-1946. Charles was a retired manager from Knoxville News Sentinel with 35 years of service in the Circulation Department. He attended South Knoxville Church of God. We thank South Knoxville Church of God how they have blessed all the family during this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Knoxville Church of God, Barboursville Children’s’ Home Fund, 5623 Magazine Road, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920. Funeral services will be Sunday, July 10, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at South Knoxville Church of God, With Rev. Robert Branch officiating. Eulogy by Rick Staley.
