Turner, Carol Ann Rogers, age 68 of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Fort Sanders Regional after an extended illness. She was a member of White Stone church. Carol retired from the Knox County Sherriff’s Department in 2009. An avid Lady Vols Basketball fan. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
Preceded in death by her parents A.W. and Dorothy Rogers and sister Nancy Compton.
Survivors include husband of 47 years John E. Turner IV, sons Scott Roberts and wife Sharon, Buddy Turner and wife Claudia and Brad Turner, daughters Tandy Dreier husband Butch and Brandy Vineyard and husband Brad, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, brother A.W. Rogers and wife Dorothy, a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8pm in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1pm in the Lynnhurst Greenwood chapel with Pastor Joel Ammons.
