Bonnie Wills Turner

Bonnie Wills Brown Turner, age 92 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 21, 2023. She graduated from Carter High School in 1949, was a member of City View Baptist Church for 50 years, former employee of Third National Bank for 38 years and a descendant of First Families of Tennessee. Bonnie was preceded in death by parents, Bruce and Alice Brown; brothers, David Brown and Richard Brown; sister, Donna Wallace; grandson, Turner Nicely. She is survived by son, Mark (Teresa) Turner; daughter, Lora Nicely; two grandchildren, Cessly Turner and Emery Nicely; great-grandchildren, Zayne, Kairi, Ryder and Sam; sister-in-law, Ruth Brown; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Frances Hancock. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 5-7:00 p.m. at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Highway, service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Luckey Steele officiating. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Old Salem Cemetery on Wayland Road for a 11:00 a.m. interment.
