Bob Duncan, Sr., age 78, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away Monday, July 31, 2017. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and a friend to many. Bob graduated from Russell High School of East Point, GA. He worked for the Atlanta Glass Co., served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and retired after 31 years at BellSouth. He then enjoyed working at Walmart in the Lawn and Garden department for eight years. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Howell C. Duncan and Bertha Duncan of Union City, GA. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Frances Duncan; son, Bob Duncan, Jr. of Davisboro, GA; daughter, Sonya Duncan of Knoxville, TN; aunt, Virginia Shamburger of Dadeville, AL; cousin, Ann Dorsett of Winston, GA; two grandchildren, Bobby Duncan and Savannah Duncan; one great granddaughter, Payton Duncan, and several nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held for Bob at 11 am on Saturday, August 5, at Berry Highland West Cemetery, 9913 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37932. Pastor Henry Lenore of Solway United Methodist Church, where Bob was a member, will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Bob to Solway United Methodist Church, P.O.
