Betty H. Mauney

Betty Hubbs Mauney, passed away peacefully September 4, 2022. One of nine children, Betty was born in Rockholds, KY. Anyone who knew Betty will remember her for love of people and conversation. She never met a stranger and had a talent for meeting someone new everywhere she went. She enjoyed hosting and was quick to invite people over for something to eat or drink. Betty was deeply loved and will be missed by her family and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Mauney; parents, Pete and Goldie Hubbs of Williamsburg, KY; brothers, Howard Hubbs, Willis Hubbs, and Kenneth Hubbs; sisters, Rozena Grant and Fern Young; son-in-law, Ray Pate and nephews, Bill Brown and Greg Young. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Pate and Paula Aethranis (Mike); grandson, Jason Pate (Juan Martinez); granddaughter, Brittany Southerland (Dustin); great-grandson, Evan Southerland; sisters, Ada Lee Bailey and JoAnn Brown; nephews, and nieces, Kevin Hubbs, Howard Hubbs, Debra Brown, Beverly Daugherty, Miranda Hubbs, Bo Hubbs; and a host of great nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet Thursday, at 9:45 am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park for a 10:00 am graveside service.
